About Me

About the guy on the right

My name is, easy to guess, Sebastian Tobler.
Currently, I live in Zurich and St. Gallen and have just recently finished my studies at the Design Departement of the Zurich University of the Arts, specifically, "Game Design".
Since then, I'm working as a freelance game developer for almost every platform using Unity 3D as my main development tool. So far, my experience covers PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Web and Android games, all made in Unity.

Bio

Born in Berkeley CA, I soon came to Switzerland and have been living here since then.
After I got my first computer in the age of 10 (an IBM 286 computer system that was already completely outdated back then), I soon started to create own levels and/or code for existing applications.
Some years later and together with a friend, I started the development of an RPG game called "Kindred of Nakhar", using the A5 engine from conitec. Naturally, the ambitious project never got finished, but I used my knowledge to work for several other games as a 3D / Texturing artist.

In 2008, I finally decided to make my hobby my job and started my education at the Zurich University of the Arts.

Software

During my travel through the world of game design, I've come across several software I've learnt to work with:

  • Unity 3D (C# / JS)
  • Autodesk 3ds Max
  • Audodesk Mudbox
  • Sprite Manager and all of his friends
  • Wings3D
  • A6 Engine
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe AfterEffects
  • Adobe Dreamweaver (html)
  • Crazybump (never started Mudbox anymore)
